Tri Easey is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary textile artist with a background in Fashion Arts and Material Art & Design. Her practice sits at the intersection of material craft, ritual, and design, working across macramé, surface design, and constructed wear.
She treats textiles as living archives of memory and identity, drawing on Afro-Caribbean traditions and cosmologies where textiles serve as tools for healing, embodiment, and self-sovereignty. She approaches slow craft as a site of resistance, preservation, and cultural reclamation.
Using plant matter as both material and collaborator, she creates textile forms and sculptural garments that function as tactile offerings, preserving knowledge and asserting cloth as ceremony.
